Camellia lutchuensis has a strong, delicious fragrance that wafts from the numerous white flowers of from midwinter to early spring. It is dubbed the fragrant camellia because it is truly the most fragrant of them all.

Such a wonderful time to explore Melbourne gardens in late Winter with camellias in singing bloom across our town. This year I am trying to take cuttings to propagate so I have an heir and a spare to take us through the hot summers to come – so wish me luck!
